Standing Alone

Faithful living is a lonely journey sometimes.

Sometimes it is remembering that we walk by faith, and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

There are moments where our vision fails us. We are holding on for dear life to the promise of our Lord, and our world is filled with everything to the contrary.

My client is lying about me.

My supervisor thinks I am doing something dishonest.

My mom doesn't support me.

My sister is always competing with me.

My dad won't speak to me.

My nephew hates me.

My friend is walking away from God.

My health is all over the place.

My landlord wants to evict me.

My car is acting up.

My money doesn't last until the end of the month.

My promotion isn't here yet.

My husband hasn't found me yet.

My dreams make no difference.

My pastor thinks I am an evil speaker.

My heart is broken by the world around me.

My _________ is ___________.

Fill in the blank, there is a never-ending list of things that always seem to go wrong and stand in opposition to what the Lord has spoken.

But God's word says no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17

It says I am the head and not the tail. Deuteronomy 28:13

It says He will never leave me nor forsake me. Hebrews 13:5

The list goes on: when standing alone, we must remember God is always with us even when people leave. Even when life isn't working. When all hope seems to be lost, and there are more problems that I can count, God is still in control.

He knows my brokenness before Him.

He knows I am afraid.

He knows that I don't know what to do.

And like a good father, He will be right there through it all.

We are never alone with HIM.
