I'm sure I don't have to convince you how painful it feels to be rejected, but I do wonder if there are moments in which you have learned to embrace it.
Why should we do that?
Why should we embrace not feeling like we are part of a group or environment?
Because Jesus did it first.
After Jesus washes the disciples' feet, He said this:
I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their Master. Nor is the messanger more important than the one who sends the message. John 13:16
We are following HIS example, and HE was rejected by the people HE came to save. That was us too, once upon a time, before we embraced Him.
But it hurts so much. I know, but it gets easier.
In ACTS 5, The Apostles rejoiced that God counted them worthy to suffer for the Gospel's sake. (5:41)
This was a far cry from the three years they spent following after Him and the many blunders they made.
Let's pray that no matter how we feel,
we are intent to follow after our Master's example.
