My Provider

Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4


It's one thing to read it, it's another to live it.

To rely on Him every single day for provision.

Even in the face of bills, conflicts, pains, losses, and fears.

God is still the one who provides.


But what if you are not used to someone providing?

What if every time there is a need, you are riddled with anxiety that He won't come through?


God does not show favouritism. Romans 2:11


In fact, He is equally Provider to all people.

So why do some have more than others?


That's a great question I cannot answer.


Some people might be better stewards.

Others have sewn seeds tirelessly and are finally reaping.

Some might benefit from their family's resources.

Ultimately, God is sovereign and we can trust Him with what He gives us.


I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippins 4:11-13


I don't say this out of a consistent state of having, but even in need, He is our Provider.


And I don't know about you, but I am so glad He is.
